Dan Laget

Dan is originally from southern Louisiana - considers New Orleans his home town. After graduating from high-school he traveled across the U.S. and South America. Eventually he settled in Houston Texas where he worked in the oil industry as a consulting division order analyst (a person who determines each person's share of royalties from producing oil wells) and a consulting petroleum landman (a person who determines who owns the mineral interest in the land and leases the land so oil companies can drill the oil well). He attended University of Houston for two years but didn't graduate.

Dan moved to Los Angeles in 1986 and began a career as a Civil Litigation Paralegal and a real estate investor. In 2002 Dan began attending Santa Monica College part time to learn web design. He became enamored with academia and now is seriously pursuing a bachelors degree in journalism and marketing and hopes to eventually obtain his masters.

Dan has earned enough credits for two Associate Degrees from SMC and plans to petition for graduation.
