Mt. San Jacinto College's Financial Aid Office will be conducting an "I Can Afford College" Workshop, a state sponsored campaign to increase awareness about financial aid opportunities, on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on the Menifee Valley Campus, 28237 La Piedra Rd, in room 927. Hands-on assistance will be available to students and parents completing the 2013-2014 application process. The goal of this event is to let students and the community know that: * California Community Colleges are affordable * Financial Aid is available to cover enrollment fees and help with other costs such as books, supplies, and living expenses * Financial aid experts are available to provide free assistance in filling out their FAFSA application This is a no cost event that will provide a wealth of information about financial aid programs to help make college affordable. Targeting high school seniors, current MSJC students, and the community as a whole, we will get the word out that it is not too late to apply for the 2013-2014 academic year. Many are unaware of their eligibility for financial aid at community colleges. For more information contact Tanisha Bradfield in the Financial Aid Office at 951-639-5241 or tbradfield@msjc.edu |
